Tried to make protein pancakes and they were waaaaay too dense. Thicker than pumpernickel bread for sure, not a fan!! I’ll have to try a different recipe for them…
My thoughts while running:
10 minutes before: “Just 5 more minutes, then you can go!”
5 minutes before: “Just go back to sleep. Run tomorrow!”
1 minute before: “I don’t want to do this.”
10 seconds in: “Wtf am I doing.”
30 seconds: “Ohmygosh, I can’t do this.”
1 minute: “Don’t stop! Don’t stop!”
5 minutes: “This isn’t so bad!”
10 minutes: “Scratch that, this fucking sucks.”
13 minutes: “Maybe I should take a little break.”
13 minutes and 1 second: “Eff that, I’m a beast!”
15 minutes: “WHEN I GET HOME I’M GOING TO RIP OFF ALL MY GODDAMN CLOTHES.”
20 minutes: “Why do I do this to myselfffffffffff?”
25 minutes: “What would Jillian say, what would Jillian say.”
30 minutes: “It doesn’t matter how fast you go just don’t stop!”
35 minutes: “SCREW WAITING TIL I GET HOME, I’M GOING TO RIP OFF ALL MY CLOTHES RIGHT HERE.”
35 minutes and 1 second: “Okay, maybe that’s a bit extreme.”
40 minutes: *almost in tears* “I’ve never been so happy to see my house!”
*collapses on couch with the biggest glass of water*
I woke up at 7 for no reason at all and just decided to go for a run! I did 3 miles in about 40 minutes, so it wasn’t my best, but it was beautiful outside. It feels so good to get back on track because I hadn’t run in so long. Now I’m nicely enjoying some breakfast and running endorphins!

3) Toast with almond butter and banana

2) Pita and avocado
3) Pita and almond butter
4) Spinach salad
5) Beans and veggies
6) Avocado, tomato, spinach toasted sandwhich
1) Bean chili
3) Tofu, salad, sweet potato fries
4) Veggie Burger, sweet potato fries, small salad
5) Cooked spinach and onion, tofu, mixed veggies
6) Spinach, tomato, onion soup
7) Falafel, pita, hummus, salad
8) Spaghetti squash, cooked spinach, tomato, onion, falafel
9) Beans, corn, avocado, quinoa, salsa
10) Asian stirfry: red peppers, water chestnuts, baby corn, carrots, broccoli, tofu
11) Vermicelli rice noodles, sweet soy sauce, tofu, salad
12) Quinoa, avocado, tofu, red peppers
I haven’t posted a picture of what I’ve eaten in along time, so here you go! For anyone who thinks that they would always be hungry if they ate vegan, trust me, this baby filled me right up!
What you need:
Huge handful of spinach
Two small tomatoes
Half of an avocado
Some baby carrots
A cup of pinto beans
Two tablespoons of hummus
A fork :)
Today I reaaally did not want to go to the gym and run. It seemed like my brain was trying to give my every excuse not to go! Here are some of them and my answer to them:
My legs hurt The pain wont last forever.
It’s cold out and I just want to cuddle up in my bed. Run a mile and see if you’re still cold. DOUBTFUL.
I have too much to do. You’re just going to sit on tumblr anyway.
The gym is busy and I don’t want people watching me run. They aren’t even looking at you. Think of www.healthyyme.tumblr.com and how she went beast mode and kicked fear in the teeth yesterday! (You’re awesome, Olivia!)
It’s that time of the month. Woohoo. It’s not like it’s going to magically disappear at home!
‘m not nearly as fast as I want to be. Look how far you’ve come. You wont get any faster if you don’t try. Not a single mile is going to get done by sitting on your ass.
I barely slept last night because of my stupid housemates. Suck it up, sleep when you’re done.
I can always just do it another day. JUST DO IT.
So many excuses, it would have been so easy to give in. But I didn’t. I dragged myself to the gym despite this because I want to get better. I love running. I love how I feel after I work out. I’ve never regretted a single workout, but I’ve regretted not going. 4 miles on the bike and 3 miles running later and I feel amazing. Sure, I didn’t go as far or as fast as I would’ve wanted, but I went and that’s what matters the most. So if you’re using excuses not to work out, or just don’t feel like doing it, think of your goals and what you want to accomplish for yourself. You have so much more potential than you are probably aware of! :)
EDIT: As for my legs? While I’m sure they’re going to hurt like crazy tomorrow, they feel fantastic right now!

It was so nice out today I just had to go for a run. Too bad I have to go to work in less than half an hour… FML. Anyways, it was my first run outside this year (Canadian winters are a bitch), and I was slow as hell. But you guys kept me motivated! I thought about all of you amazing, strong people and it fuelled me to keep going :)

EDIT: one time I read something on the thinspo tag that said, “Girls dont sweat, they glisten.” I’m motherfricking DRIPPING with sweat, and I couldn’t be happier.
